Notes
- He was a Harvard graduate and graduated from Medical College at Castleton, Vermont. He is later years taught anatomy at the University of Michigan. John gave service as assistant surgeon of the Second Main Regt. Civil War 7th ME Infantry. In 1872 he went west to Jackson Michigan.
