Notes
- David's father died when he was young and he learned the trade of shoemaker. He removed to Albion and bought the Eaton Lumber Mill. He worked closely with Rev. Daniel Lovejoy and after his death in 1833 he built a shop where he manufactured boots and shoes. He went to Benton around 1853.
